LIVE FROM THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY TO BREAKERS RACE
Dr. Dave and his wife Yoko have run this race for many many years. This year they are recording their podcast before, during, and after the race. “If you want to do one cool thing in your life, come to San Francisco and do the Bay to Breakers Road Race!”, says Dr. Dave. This race has amazing energy. People are dressed in costumes. Some people even run with no clothes on! All sizes, all shapes, all colors, all fitness levels = no judgement here!
Doing a race allows you to be in the moment and forget about everything. You just run. You can run fast, you can run slow, you can walk. Make it a goal to do at least one race this year and we promise you will not regret it! There are all ages, sizes, families. Dr. Dave and Yoko will be doing it again next year – join them!
FIND YOUR HAPPY
Each day find your happy. Do things that make you happy. If you want to Slice your Age in Half, you need to be living a happy life doing things that make you happy. Exercising makes you happy. Having goals make you happy! Sign up for a race today before the end of 2014.
TECH IN RACES
People are taking pictures, people are tweeting, people are facebooking, people are even recording a podcast like Dr. Dave! “I love it! People are spreading happiness. People are sharing happiness with all over the world!” said Yoko.
HYDRATION FOR RACES
Be sure to drink water before events. Stop or slow down for each water station. Remember to hydrate after the race too!
WALKING AFTER RACE
It is good to walk around after a race instead of stopping abruptly. In fact, Dr. Dave and Yoko do not take the shuttles back downtown after the race. They walk the 12K back downtown after the race. Join them next year on the race and the walk back!
Dr. Dave interviews Naked Dan from Texas and Naked Ray from San Francisco after the race! Ray and Dr. Dave say a big hello to Ray’s friend Naked Gypsy! I guess they are doing their Naked Test in front of everyone! [Did you take the Naked Test yet? BAY TO BREAKERS RACE INFORMATION
San Francisco’s Bay to Breakers is the oldest consecutively run annual footrace in the world, a staple to the City by the Bay since May 1912. With a starting point near the San Francisco Bay, a few blocks from The Embarcadero, the 12K race runs west through the city and finishes at the Great Highway where breakers crash onto the Pacific Coast’s Ocean Beach. A quintessential San Francisco experience for 102 years, the race is interwoven into the fabric of the city and is a true reflection and celebration of life between the breakers and the Bay. Note: the 2015 edition will take place on Sunday, May 17th. http://www.baytobreakers.com/
