Dr Dave firmly believes in eating a healthy plant-based diet and is very vocal about those beliefs. Over the past several months, he has received a lot of hateful messages on Facebook. While Dr Dave has very firm beliefs, he also feels that others have the right to their own beliefs and does not judge those who are don’t lead the same lifestyle. He has recently spent a lot of time weeding out those negative people on social media. And since he has had more time to focus on all of the great messages he has received from people who are improving their lives. Simply put, Dr Dave has a passion for helping people change their lives! It is an extremely rewarding feeling to read all of the positive messages from the community and to know that Dr Dave has made a significant impact in the lives others.
This lifestyle DOES work! At almost 60 years old, Dr Dave wakes up each morning feeling fantastic! He is on no medications and is very active. He would like to share his secrets with you!
This is perhaps the best number one workout you can do! Many people can do it, it works out your entire body, and you don’t have to do it for a long time.
Dr Dave strapped a high-quality backpack over his shoulders (in addition to his fastening it around his back and hips). He added 50 pounds of weight to the backpack, which is approximately one third of his body weight. Then he went outside and walked for about 2 miles. Dr Dave routinely talks about the “Magic 4” – how walking four miles each day can greatly improve your physical and mental health. However, if you want to crank your workout up a notch or if you’re short on time, try a walking/hiking with a weighted backpack. If you are just starting on your fitness journey, do not overdo it. Try starting with 5 pounds and add more weight every few days. Make sure that the weight in your backpack is distributed properly. This workout is phenomenal! It works out your legs, your core (abdomen), shoulders, and your cardiovascular system.
It can be extremely difficult to find time to work out properly. Dr Dave regularly exercises at home and does not have a gym membership. One of his favorite at home exercises is the push up. All you need is a floor (and yourself). Dr Dave recommends sets of 15 to help reduce to possibility of injury but suggests that you do what feels comfortable for you. In addition to those, Dr Dave also currently uses headstands, crunches, and squats to develop strength and stay fit. These are all exercises that you can do at home while you are cooking or doing other things around the house.
It is not difficult to stay in shape if you know what to do! As always, Dr Dave strongly recommends walking as a way to improve the way you look and feel. You will be stronger, thinner, healthier, and hopefully happier as well!
